Can I change NetCfgInstanceId in the registry to change MAC address?

I have exhausted the depths of my knowledge on this topic, and I can't find the info I need on Google, so maybe someone here has the knowledge that I need to solve this problem? Or maybe there's an easier solution that I'm just missing. I am trying to set up an indoor security camera.
