usb_modeswitch for XSStick W1220 LTE USB antenna

I'm trying to make my 1 1 (German telecommunication company) branded USB LTE antenna work on Linux, in my case Ubuntu 22.04 . When connecting to a PC it registers as a CD-Rom drive to the system containing setup files for Windows and MacOS. I've installed the provided program successfully on Windows and was able to activate the mobile data connection. Now I'm looking for help getting it to work under my Ubuntu installation.
