2026-02 Security Update (KB5077181) (26200.7840) installed manually, but Windows Update keeps trying to install it
Windows Update repeatedly tried to install the aforementioned update but failed. I tried the usual steps of shutting down WU, but an Acronis Service wouldn't let me proceed with Access denied, even though I was an Administrator. I used the Windows Update Download Centre to manually download the same security update. I went on to install the update manually, as per the messages: Successfully! Windows Update continues to attempt to install the update but fails. I tried using the mechanism referenced in another SuperUser Post (similar issue - Windows 10 Automatic Update tries to install manually
