Is it common for a refurbished Brother Multi-function printer to have minior croppings on scanned documents?

I just received my refurbished Brother DCP-L2640DW multi-function printer, but it appears to have some cropping issues on scanned documents. I have marked up areas of cropping with red. Here's the original document Here's the scanned version of the same document Is this normal or should I return the machine?
