Working with laptop with broken screen and password forgotten

I've got an old laptop with windows 7, that his screen got broken and you can't see anything, now I don't want to fix it, just extract from there all the files stored there that I need. So I connected the laptop to a projector, and it works fine. The problem is that I totally forgot the login password! Well I tried to follow the different guides to bypass the password, but it all requires to play with the bios and the computer startup phase, but the projector shows me only since windows comes up. Any creative ideas??
