How to share one monitor between a laptop and a desktop PC?
I'm trying to use a USB-C switch (DeLock 18911) to share a Dell P3225DE (DELL) monitor between a laptop and a desktop PC. Devices and Cables Involved: USB-C Switch: Delock 18911 Monitor: Dell Pro 32 Plus QHD USB-C Hub Monitor (P3225DE) Laptop (Ubuntu 24) Desktop PC (Windows 10) Cables: Monitor ⇄ Delock 18911: fixed USB-C cable on switch Switch ⇄ Laptop: USB-C to USB-C cable (video + data + PD works perfectly) Switch ⇄ Desktop: USB-C to USB-A cable Switch ⇄ power (5v) Monitor ⇄ is handled separately via a DisplayPort cable directly from GPU to monitor. Monitor ⇄ Keyboard, mouse, camera: USB hub
